Beaches abound in Long Island. Some of the best, and most popular, are Long Beach, Jones Beach, Main Beach, Coopers Beach and Seacliff Beach. Both the North Shore and South Shore of Long Island have many beaches for the tourist to choose from, with South Shore, facing the Atlantic, know for its white, sandy beaches.
