Jan 30, 2013 - Battle gear in the Big Apple
It has been said many times over...that everything is a little larger than life in the Big Apple and with the conglomeration of culture, lifestyle, people and the various different infiltration of people from all walks of life, New York is indeed, seemingly so, like at center stage most of the time. There is always something to do, something to see, places to experience, restaurants to visit. And if the residents are always the time of their lives in the big ole NYC, tourists are guaranteed to have a lot of good things to do all year round, whether you are visiting in a luxurious New York party bus rental vehicle or using a mini bus for your bus rentals vacation.
A short charter bus ride away from downtown NYC would be the Watervliet Arsenal Museum. It tells a story of military power and the weapons used in various wars in the past. Even those who are not into wars and history will be awed by their sheer power. Tour the massive museum together with your family and friends while learning about the history of the Big Guns and there are some one-of-a-kind guns here on display and they date all the way back to more than four hundred years ago! On top of these weapons, come take a quick look at the powerful artillery that range from smaller weapons to World War II battleships. Please do have a quick look-around at the 60mm lightweight company mortars too.
For those who are hungry for more of the same stuff, please do take the New York city bus rentals vehicle to West Point Museum, one of the country’s oldest and most extensively packed military museum. It’s military artifacts remains unchallenged and unrivalled to this very day and it is known for its massive collection of historical military artifacts from all around the world all the way from the 17th century to recent years. Come take a look at weapons, vehicles, uniforms, soldiers’ memorabilia and also learn more about historical figures like George Washington, Dwight Eisenhower, Napoleon I, John Pershing, and of course, perhaps one may be a little curious about the stuff that Adolph Hitler has done to change the world. What makes this museum a little different from other museums would be the fact that they carry a pretty extensive number of art collection from renowned artists.
For war at sea, please do bring the New York rental charter bus to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum where there is another fine array of exhibits and endless number of entertaining events and festivals. Please do check their website out for schedule and itinerary.
